They're all nuts, but it is "normal" for them to do that
and worse over and over again in packs of 20 on the
supercross tracks...

Crashing and burning is painful.   I have no doubt he'll learn this.   Just hope he doesn't take anyone else out in his attempt to experience a thrill.

Ya, I saw that. He did it about 4 miles from my house. That area is known as the bad lands in Riverside County.

some people have more balls than brains.

worst crazy I saw in past 10 years was on a crotch rocket heading my way nearby me on smooth level road doing 60 mph or so NOT sitting on the bike but standing alongside the bike with skid shoes on flying up sparks from pavement just holding onto both handlebars as he passed by me coming at me the other way.   uglystupid2

I do not  have the skill nor strength nor stupidity to try that EVER.     uglystupid2

More balls than brains, that was a sticker on my first cheap helm/chili bowl. Back in the late 90s I would drag pegs on my CB-650. Till I hit a dead racoon.........

I still think the picture (bike in air) is great. Makes me think of the the commercial "double pits to chesty..... he crushed it"

Should have had a "fonzie" thumbs up in that shot

Funny I'm gonna remember this one

On that same stretch of the 60 in late 80s, the first wife and me were traveling from LA to home in Palm Springs, late on Sunday night.  Very little traffic.  We are seeing these strange lights in the air flashing all over the place.  As it was off in the distance several miles we agreed it was a UFO.  I picked up the speed hoping to get close. It seemed large.   It took a good 10 minutes to get close and we were getting flashes of light when not obscured by the mountains.  Finally right under it and there it was and it was unmistakable.  Yes it was the Goodyear Blimp that was traveling home to Carson after being at the Bob Hope Desert Classic, flashing Goodyear commercial messages.

Clearly the guy had the skill set to make such a jump and took precautions and made preparations for it.

The big problem I have with stunts like these is when they are done in a public arena like a 4 lane highway with "normal" traffic.

No one in the normal traffic expects a motorcycle to fly through the air in front of them. This would be a great distraction and could cause the normal traffic pattern to become highly abnormal causing collisions and panic.

While I would have confidence in the guy making the jump, the potential for screwing up the traffic below was high and unnecessary.

I'd be willing to bet half the drivers on that road at that time never even noticed - they'd have to look up from their phones!!   uglystupid2

A bit on the teevee news last night compared the moto-x
dude to the packs of scum who intercept cars on the
freeway and pull their owners out and beat them...
