To do the Deland bike fest what would be the time frame?  Thoughts?

Grumpy

Probably miss this one, too soon after getting cut on.  But I will be there on the 24th or 25 for the boat meet and will try it then.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

In true Nick fashion

Grumpy, stop this nonsense.  Get better soon.

So early start at the Park 8am stop over in Tarrytown around 9am SR50 to 19N to 441 pick up Pappy & Lesa along the way? Hit 44 into DeLand? Breakfast at Billy's Café in Tavares, really good food.

Sixlow, looking for bfast place in DeLand

sixlow

Maybe we just meet you all in Deland and we will look for our favorite Molo's food truck which is at most biker events and friends of ours. Just hope we can find a spot for us all to park our Valks together.

Howbout meeting at the Shell station corner of 44 and 15,
100 S Spring Garden Ave, Deland, 32720.
This way we can roll in together.

Pappy!

Well.....there is also an antique & vintage bike show that comes around yearly. It is at the Eustis fair grounds. I have already commited to see that. Have wanted to go for a few years and looks like this is the year. Bikes to sell and show.

Sounds like a win win.

Unless we all arrive fairly early the only way to park together will be on a side street. It's bikes only on the main drag but the spaces fill up fast. We've been there the last 8 or so years, sometimes it's our only foray into Bikeweek.
There are some restaurants north of the downtown area where the Bikefest takes place by the 192/17 intersection that are capable of handling a crowd of Honda riders. Not much in the downtown area. May be some other places off of 17 to the south in Orange City.
Kim & I usually take 42 which ends at 44 just to the west of the St. Johns river. Kim always has to take a pee stop at the Ed Stone Park on the Volusia side of the bridge.  ;D It would be a nice place to meet up for everyone coming from the west and south.
Just throwing some info out there about the Deland area.  ;)

:cooldude:  This Ed stone park sounds like the best place to meet.   :cooldude:

In talking to Nick he says we are going to hit the Billy's for B fast and roll in. So maybe it is best to do our own thing for B fast and then meet up then hit the town.  Then we can hit food vendors there for lunch or one of the other places Eddie mentioned if we so desire?

If everyone is in agreement on the Ed Stone park then we need a meet time.

For our side of this, time travel from Tarrytown to this park is one hour twenty minutes.

Don I'm wondering if we should skip San An as you mentioned and just have Tarrytown senoco as our only meet point and maybe it will have to be earlier?

8am--- If my math is correct, travel time plus breakfast, including the group motivational grace, git-the-flap-going period, that would put us in the pee park around 10:15ish?

Maybe just make it officially 10:30?

Don, any soggy bottom boys?

I googled DeLand  bike fest and look what I find?  I am told Bill's orange Valkyrie has been sold to someone out-of-state just recently.

Bronxboy

Pee Park  :2funny:  Well I am pretty much trained to Pee if I see a tire laying on it's side  ;D

OLDFRT

Jerry, I will be at Tarrytown at 8:00. Can't speak for anyone else.

Update  :o

Sixlow has a connection who owns Greg's feed store that is two short blocks south of the main drag (44) and quite center of town and has given our group the ok to park there.  See the map and pics for location, and before you give me grief on the attention to detail, note day three in bed with a nasty cold or sinus thing, and I reached the end of the internet picking out the next seven motorcycles I want.  Please note the specific approved spot so as to not interfere with normal business.  Park on the East Voorhis Ave side. See pic.  10 - 10:30

sixlow

It may be more like 11 until I arrive but Greg is a great guy and has no problem with us parking there..

OLDFRT

THANKS for setting up the Parking, Mike. It will be great having us all in one spot, at least for a while, anyway. Looking forward to seeing you and Liz. :cooldude:

There are 11 bikes going from the Hardee's group, but we are having to go in 2 groups. Six of us would like to meet you guys in tarrytown @ 8:00am and will meet the other five there. We are going to try to park on New York ave. so will not be having breakfast, will eat vendor food :-\. If we are not there at 8 then leave without us and we will see you there. We are meeting at 7 so that should give us plenty of time to get to tarrytown by 8. Looking forward to meeting up and the ride :cooldude:

sixlow

Hope to see some of ya's tomorrow, Jerry I will text ya when we get there and see where you all made it to.
