Sounds like small town central Florida. Example: just because the turn signal is on means nothing. Brake lights on....not necessarily braking, just resting their foot on the pedal. Hi beam on during the day. Left turn signal, makes right turn. My favorite....45 mph in the left lane of a six lane, posted limit somewhere north of 60.

The really disconcerting thing is to look through the rear window, and see no one driving at all.

She's in there somewhere, but looking through the steering wheel, not over it.

The only really good thing about ancient drivers is, you never see them talking on phones or texting.  They may be old, but they are not stupid (like all those that do).

One little old lady on my apartment street asked me for a ride in my 'cute' Miata last year,

So I took her for a ride, straightening out the few curves that we have here in NE indiana.

She has not asked me again.

I'm thinking of installing a "Holy crap" bar on the right side in the Miata. Wink

I took an old couple, who no longer could drive, home one day, in the back seat of my 73 Scout II while the top was off. It was wonderful listening to them talk, and how it reminded them of riding in the rumble seat of an old Model A.
