Low Mileage Valkyries Still Out There

Perusing the local Craigslist this morning and still amazed to find low mileage Valkyries out there relatively easily. I don't see Gold Wings with great regularity with the same low miles.

This Interstate with under 8500 miles, one owner got my attention. A bit overpriced perhaps at $7900 but it's nearly new and one owner!

It (like everything else in life) is worth what the market will bear.    More than I'd pay but then, I've already got my baby.   If I was looking for one, it sounds like a fair deal.    A classic motorcycle with a lot of goodies.   Will look into getting it just as soon as that lottery ticket pays off.

Always wondered about the low miles on used Tourers and Standards with rolling odometers.  Got my Silver Bullet with 14,400 miles for $5,500 in 2012.  A few years later I found the Interstate with about 52k for $5,000.  From the vehicle background reports I have no reason to doubt the mileages were accurate, but a sight unseen buyer could be easily buffaloed by the low mileage advertisements.  Thankfully with Valkyries mileage doesn't much matter as long as the bike was maintained properly!

My 24K eBay Valkyrie was pretty tired when I got it. I couldn't
tell from the eBay picture, and I didn't know anything about
Valkyries at that point other than that they were awesome...

The tins were OK, and I sure do like it now, but it nickle and
dimed me to death on rusty little chrome parts, dented
mufflers and a final drive for a while...

I only got it blessed once, I guess that was the other guy's
maintenance plan  ...

I too question low mileage on a Valkyrie with the "roll over" speedometers. I remember a couple of years ago when my '97 was for sale as a very low mileage bike. I had sold it 2 years before with well over 100,000 on it. A dealer was selling it after he got it on a trade in. Even they thought the bike was low mileage......you never know.
