Was there yesterday.......LOTS of Indian at the Speedway and maybe 6 Victories. Indian has gone all out this year promoting their line. Demo rides with maybe 25+ bikes on each trip....many of their high end Chieftains. Along Main Street it was just the opposite....lots of Victories on the road including several police models. Weather was a little chilly, windy and overcast until about 3pm when the sun polled out and the wind died down a bit. Seemed like several changes along Main St including Indian taking over a large corner of land for displaying their line......used to be a bunch of food vendors there and maybe some other vendors but strictly Indian......must have cost them $$$$ for the space. Nice looking bikes up and down the street and seemed like a few more Boss Hoss than usual. Strong police presence and writing lots of tickets - more than I recall over the last few years.
Over by the Peabody Auditorium (Ocean Center) were about 100 or so vendors INSIDE hawking their wares. Live entertainment, free bathrooms, food stand, FREE beer daily between 1-3pm......first year they've had this there but may be the last.......not allowed to have signs on the outside to advertise so very few people know it's there and the vendors were just sitting around not selling anything. They were discouraged and not certain they would return next year unless some serious changes are made to promote their existence. Strictly word of mouth right now.
