Broke My Fricking Foot Board!

Went down  on right side. Heard it snap when it went over. Kuryakyn. Were on there when I bought it. dammit I am pissed off. $242.99 to replace. It is cheap ass pewter. Can not be welded.   I am long legged, Cannot ride on stock pegs. Did I say I was pissed off. Dammit all to hell. Any other long legged riders out there? What are ya'll using. This is what broke. SOB. And to add insult to injury. When I got home. I folded foot board shut and it bite off a chuck of my fricking finger. It is still bleeding. http://www.jpcycles.com/product/zz53012

With Kuryakyn, that would be my approach... you can likely buy replacement parts short of an entire two-sided assembly.  Those clamps are top notch, but those boards for Hwy pegs are awfully big and heavy.  Look at ISO wings for replacement (small boards; lighter, cheaper, and less likely to break in a tip over).

So... that assembly includes the 1) clamps, 2) anti rotation arms (maybe in two lengths) that fit those clamps, 3) full size clevis, and 4) whatever male-mount a) Board or b) Wing or c) Dually pegs you choose to bolt on to the clevis.   (I have the same setup with Dually's... a fat peg, and my bike has gone over and sits on the engine guard and the pegs cannot touch down at all, folded)  Disassemble the broken side to see what is still good, or not.

If you have a hard time weeding through Kuryakyn's website for individual parts, you can call their tech folks for help, take down all the part numbers you need (then order them from an aftermarket seller or maybe Amazon).  If you order from Kury direct, you pay MSRP.

The part that connects to the frame (engine guard) is the clamp.

By frame, do you mean the arm? 

IF so, that should be the clevis.  Like this.

ok. Here is part that broke. It is about 5 1/2 inches long from end to end.
Motorcycle Super Store has them. One Is 6 inches long. Another one is 4 1/2 inches long. Reckon I need the 6 inch long  ones.

Yep, you'll have to buy a pair (then hope you never have to use the other).  Beats buying a new complete assembly.  

I've been down the same road with hand levers, several times.  I seem to like breaking only one side (backing out of my shed), which kind of sucks.   Over the years, I've had both bikes with non-matching levers as often as not (skinny OEs, wide non-adjustable, and adjustables).  Right now, only one bike doesn't match.

I keep a bag of the old ones and parts in my bin (mostly rights).
