I mounted this on the bar last year....took about 5 minutes once I decided location. The USB power feed you see the cable run to was installed at the same time...choose the location carefully...mine is directly behind the handle bars and if you like the bars raised the socket is awkward to get at.  For now it is on all the time, but I am going to add a water proof rocker switch to turn it off when parked for extended times. I am thinking about adding a USB line into the trunk as well to keep devices charged and locked up!!

I have been using google maps "Offline Maps Feature" to navigate...loading several areas that  I plan to tour, making sure the downloaded areas overlap... ahead of time. That way if you have areas without service your google maps keeps navigating.

I have one of those mounts, also. My phone, Samsung, has the side buttons that are almost perfectly in line with the grips, so I have to move the phone down to where it's almost at the bottom and I worry about the grip. Your cover looks like it takes care of that. What type of phone do you have?

Same with the Nexus 4 I have...I bought one of those industrial strength cases(as seen in pics) that is quite thick on the edges...that fixed the problem by repositioning where the "X" Grips fit.. Search your model # on amazon for a PHAT case. This is the one for mine(chose red for my bike):

They may have one similar for yours.

Unfortunately, I have my phone on a flip case, the cover wouldn't work for me....There's a rubber 'web' you can get to use with these holders that captures the corners of your phone, but they look like they'd be a pain..

By the way, your bike looks great. I really like that color.

Hell with the mount, I've been wondering where and how to mount that same USB port on my IS fairing, without having to buy one first.

I like. Looks like a good place, in reach and doesn't interfere with the speakers. USB on one side, and the cig port on the other.

Just need a hole saw the right size, and screw the devious in.
