I am also stopping in Iceland on the way, are there any places
that I should see on my Travels?
I belong to the Masons so I will be seeing things that have to do with their history.
I am lucky that I have family at all these locations except Iceland.

I work with a guy from Iceland. What part are you going to visit? I'll ask him what there is to see and do there.

Went to London a few years ago. To name a very few:

Stonehenge is most interesting - amazing actually.

The Churchill War Rooms museum is fascinating - if you are a WWII history buff.

The London Eye is a big Ferris wheel type of thing.

A boat ride up and down the Thames is fun. Dock under the bridge at Westminster Palace

Kew Gardens - the Royal gardens is a good place to spend an afternoon.

The Royal Observatory in Greenwich is equally interesting.

A ride around downtown London in the front seat of upper deck of double-decker bus is better than any "E" ticket ride at Disneyland. Don't dilly-dally getting on or off the bus. They don't wait for anything or anybody. And be sure to "mind the gap" when getting on or off the bus or the "T".

Local Pubs for a beer and the best fish & chips.

So much to see  . . . so little time.

Add the tour through the Tower of London to the list.  The only place I've been in Iceland is Keflavik and it looked like 10,000 acres of gravel parking lot.  Away from Keflavik, its supposed to be fantastic.  Try googling some of the photography sites.  Iceland is very popular destination for photography tours and workshops.

Kids live in a area across the river, a couple miles as a crow flies, from downtown City of London - in the Clapham/Wandsworth area. We navigated our travels by way of the Underground (Tube) and bus . . . and walking. A tour boat ride down river from Westminster bridge to Greenwich to get to the observatory. We used their car to drive to Stonehenge. Riding in the front seat with no steering wheel - and on the wrong side of the road - makes for another E ticket thrill ride. Found myself stomping the floorboard of the car a number of times looking for the brakes. A great time. Very densely populated. Hope to do it again one day to take in some of the sights we missed the first time.

Reykjavik is a nice city to spend some time.  We spent 3 years in Iceland in the mid 80s in the Navy. When traveling around in the summer it is great. Stays daylight for 18+ hours. Dettifoss was a great trip to see. One of the largest Waterfalls in Europe. Several hot springs to swim. We liked the Blue Lagoon outside Keflavik. Lots of very beautiful women in Iceland. Some of my shipmates ended up with Icelandic wife's. long way to go visit in-laws.

Neil I learned that trick about looking right not left first my first trip to Scotland a while back.
A few years ago I drove a friend's XKE that was right hand drive. Was a very strange thing for sure.
