Seein the old Buicks you posted pics of brought back some memories. My friends first car was a 48 Buick 4 door straight 8 with 3 on the tree. His second car was a 53 Buick straight 8 with a dynaflop. I do remember in those Chicago winters the rear seat heater in both of em-the 48 and the 53. And the ROOM in the rear seat in both of em. Guard guy at the outdoor more than once to us-heads above the seat feet on the floor!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

I had a ,47 Buick Special, with the 'sparrow strainer'   Humongous seating room. Smooooth enigine with not much power. Three on a stick.

However, the ohv straight eight rocker arms often had the oil line clog up and the rockers wore quickly.  Mine was noisy.

55 56 57 Oldsmobile V-8s had the lack of oil situation also. When I rebuilt the 350 V-8 in my Chevy pickup I put in a T R W Racing oil pump and adjustable rocker arms removing the hydrastic lifters. Lets just say the oil stains were still on the garage ceiling after we were done adjusting things. RIDE SAFE.

Very nice  cooldude My first vehicle was a 59 Chevy Apache, very similar to the pic. A VW bus friend of mine had a 23 window stolen out of his yard while at work, never to be seen again. He is still heartbroken 3 years later.
