We went to the Big Sandy machine gun shoot near Wikiup AZ over the weekend.  I was standing between three twin fifties all seeing who could empty their ammo cans first. It was awesome. Targets were 1/4 sticks of dynamite linked with primer cord to 5 gallon pails of tannerite.  When they went off you could feel the concussion on the firing line.  Between explosions, they would fly radio controlled planes over the range to shoot at (which caused the whole firing line to light up).  There was a WW II vet who was 90+ shooting his M16 full auto at the RC planes.  Made me proud to be an American.   As  far as the twin 50 goes, I figured one of them goes through $1500 worth of ammo in about 8 seconds.

Thanks for sharing.  I would love to attend one of those.

Most of us mere mortals can only dream of owning a twin (or single) fifty.  Or even afford to fire one (for very long).

Heck, I'd settle for a nice BAR.

I got to fire one mag of full auto in the USAF (M16).  Cheap bastards.   Grin

Dillon Reloading

Firestorm in the Desert

I think that's the name of the video. Nothing but full auto and most likely a mil in ammo.

Couple belts of 30 cal off the fantail of the Yorktown. And other assorted weapons the Navy and Marines had on board. And at That time-cost was NOT a factor. Even with ear plugs and ear muffs my ears still rang with steel decking under your feet and steel overhead.  2funny Would enjoy seeing that meet in person.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.
