Stop looking back, you're not headed that way!

« on: April 06, 2017, 02:51:26 PM »

I just wanted to say Hi.. I'm a new Valkyrie owner Grin!!!
My Dad Skipper was a member on this forum.. Sadly he sold his Valkyrie when he got cancer and wasn't able to ride it like he wanted. He passed away Feb 5th 2017 but before he left he said some words that still ring in my ears..  angel"Son don't wait till your dying to chase your dreams" angel Well i've wanted another motorcycle since selling my last one at age 18. I kept my Endorsement on my licence all these years saying to myself one day!!! Well like so many men do I got married had kids got a job and a mortgage so the motorcycle just kept getting pushed back to (one Day!!) Well I stopped dreaming after my dad passed. I scoured the web looking at cruiser reviews and decided to go with a Valkyrie. Luckily I was able to get a good deal on a 2000 interstate from Trout Dude who is also a member of this forum.

I'm happy to be here and I look forward to making some friends and putting some miles down..

Welcome !  You got a terrific motorcycle from a great member

(Did they throw in any Pralines with your purchase ?     Sheila's pralines are awesome ?

It only gets better from here

fill with gas, ride, repeat

Get some time off and ride to Montana in June to meet a lot of fine Valkyrie owners

Welcome, and come back often.

There are some local chapters, and other's have some State Rider threads, to try to meet up with others.

Along with some annual meets, both local and national.

Then there is also the Tech section, to learn a little more on how to maintain you bike. Search is a good tool, sometimes it's learning the right words to ask on.

Welcome to the VRCC. That's a beautiful bike and like has been said, you can bet Dennis has taken good care of it.

This is a very knowledgeable group of Valk owners that will be happy to share their help as questions come up.

I want to thank everyone for the kind words but we have to Thank Smoking Joe for finding that one for me when i totaled mine and was dealing with the insurance. It was in good shape and just needed a few parts and maintenance and she is sweet. I'm glad to have found someone for this bike who wants to be one of us and joined the VRCC.
