If anyone sees a "whippin deal" on a Jeep, hopefully near the Nevada, where we moved, Let me know.
Or if you know someone that can check one out in South Yuba City, Ca let me know.
I don't want a shiny new Jeep, I want something for off road.

I've got a coworker that had one for sale. I don't know if he still does. I won't see him for 10 days or so though.

Jeeps hold their value amazingly well if taken care of.
I owned a 2006 Rubicon LJ (the exended cab version) hard top which is one of the Holy Grails of Jeepdom.
I owned it from Jan. 2009 until around October 2016 and sold it for $750 less than I paid for it !!

Yes they do. But oddly KBB doesn't reflect the actual selling price of them.

Something is worth what someone is willing to pay or take in trade for it.. Not what KBB says it's "Value" is..

I have a 1982 Jeep CJ7 that I wouldn't take a penny less than 6K for, but the thing only cost 7,700 new. KBB doesn't even list it as having a value because of its age.. BUT NADA has its average retail at 7,375 and Low retail ar 3,175. lol

It was painted that color brown new but its rino lined now inside and out.. just color matched the liner.. The Family calls it Tee Roux because the liner looks like roux when your up close.. My wife and Kids would never let me sell it. They love riding in it more than me...  Embarrassed Embarrassed

don't they ride pretty rough with larger mud tires and very short wheelbase and not too forgiving of suspension?  Probably though one of the best off road/mudding vehicles there are.

Quoted as truth.   I've owned several CJ and YJ Wranglers, been looking for a reasonably priced LJ for about two years.   I'm still looking.   They ain't cheap!!   Then again, I'm picky.   I want one with specific options.   Not a lot of the luxury stuff and it has to be a manual transmission.   Never understood why anyone wanted and auto transmission in a Wrangler but, to each their own.
