The anchor baby thing needs revoked.  No child of illegals should ever be an automatic citizen, I don't care where he is born.

Whether by statute or constitutional amendment.

Do it NOW

This would be easier than involuntary spaying and neutering, believe me.

Wow... You got some serious issues man (or just plain ignorant... maybe both?).

"Widespread or systematic forced sterilization has been recognized as a Crime against Humanity by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in the explanatory memorandum. "

The whole idea of forced sterilization borders on what Nazis have done on Germany... and turns out they were on the wrong side of history.

Think about it.

Seems we have some upset, I agree that just to have a baby here should not make them a US citizen.

I think the best solution would be awarding birthright-citizenship to the SECOND or THIRD generation of natural born families residing 100% within the country.   The idea here is like it or not, they will have to deal with actually living here before they try to change it, get invested in the country before they cast votes that impact everyone.   Avoid the short-term gain motivator and legislation by Mob mentality.   I also think the parents of these generations would have truely useful advice based on their own life expierience in this country, not the old one.

Crazy talk?

Human beings are human beings and should be treated with the respect due a human being whether they agree with our values or not.

To the descendants of American Indians most of your ancestors were illegal immigrants.  In a few generations it is likely that these that we've identified as "illegal Immigrants" and their descendants will be in the majority in this country.  I wonder how they will want to treat those of differing cultural backgrounds.  Incidentally most of their ancestors were here long before the European Americans.

Do I think it's right?  Not necessarily.  Do I think we need to control it?  Absolutely.  In their wisdom the Founding Fathers decided that anyone born within the boundaries of this country would have the right to being a native born American citizen.  That reasoning still holds and should.

then again, is it right for a women to have 10 kids by 4-5 different guys (all by a certain nationality/race I will remain nameless) and have the govt. support her and her kids so she can stay home and meet the next guy (same race/nationality she likes) to have 5 more kids?

I know a younger white women like that who I use to work with her mom.  Pretty sad. uglystupid2

Helarius. Just saying.     Wife got a job at Walmart at the same time as a Mexican was hired. He was asked if he had a green card an  he said that he didn't but he worked at a Walmart in California and his 3 kids were born in the U.S.   I dont know if he is still working there or not.    I don't have any problems with Mexicans except illegal immigration is just that and if they are here illegally then they need to be finger printed,&  deported and if they come back they need to be fined for the cost of deporting them and if they don't have any money make them work it off, and make it swift. I dont need to pay for their deportion.

                                 IT'S THE LAW
There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, and all government business will be conducted in our language.
Foreigners Will not have the right to vote no matter how long they are here. Foreigners will never hold political office.
Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, nor any other government assistance programs.
Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
If foreigners come and want to buy land, that will be OK, but you are not allowed to own waterfront property. That property is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country,
Foreigners may not protest. No demonstrating, no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing and no "bad mouthing our president or his policies. If you do, you will be sent home.
If you come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail.
Harsh, you say? The above laws happen to be the immigration laws in Mexico.

When I say illegals ,I mean all illegals.

In their wisdom the Founding Fathers decided that anyone born within the boundaries of this country would have the right to being a native born American citizen.

Willow, the founding father didn't do that, the Radicals who controlled
the government after Abe Lincoln's War made that part of one of their three
"Reconstruction" amendments as a mechanism to make the freedmen United
States citizens. Sounds great, but they were focused on having a Southern
population that would vote with them, and they made sure that they did
it without giving the franchise (or citizenship) to the giant population
of Chinese on the west coast. There's a really interesting bit from the
Congressional Globe about this part of the debate, between
Senator Cowell and Senator Trumbull, at the end of the Citizenship Clause

Nopes, I don't live in Rome. I live in California, SF Bay Area, Silicon Valley to be more precise (5 minutes away from Apple, 10 from Google, 15 from Facebook). And that doesn't mean anything.

I could be living in Korea, UK, Finland, Germany. Or Africa, South America or any other place.

The place where I currently live won't change the core values that my parents taught me. The basic core of beliefs that my education was built on, that allows me to tell right from wrong. That taught me to do the compassionate thing and when a man goes down, do my best to pick him up.

When it comes to jokes, you have to draw a line somewhere. For me racial jokes (black, jews, etc), sexist jokes (gays, women, etc) and crimes against humanity (rape, castration, etc) are not acceptable.

I won't be posting anymore in this thread.

WOW Dude, don't get your panties in such a wad! It was just a joke. Maybe a joke that is poor in taste, but regardless, it was just a joke.

If you read something that offends you, simply ignore it. Once you start the name calling, it will accomplish nothing (except making you look bad), and will only escalate to the point whereas the moderators have to intervene, and lock the thread.

Some have differing views on where to draw the line as offensive or wrong.  I commend you, Sir on standing your ground and maintaining your composure. That itself speaks volumes about your character.

That being said the jokes you find offensive I find hilarious but if and when we meet in person there are other things we can talk about I'm sure that we have in common.

He IS my Brother. Some-by No means ALL-but some of our thoughts are similar. I for one am tired of supporting oversized welfare families. Someone touched on this issue earlier in this thread. I also am tired of supporting those that are here illegally. THAT-illegally-should need NO explanation. If someone sits back and has offspring or children they should in No WAY Shape or Form be reliant on the Government from day one for their very upkeep. If you can NOT afford them Do NOT have them. WHY should it be a drain on my finances cuz YOU can't take care of your own? If you can't provide for one or two WHY in the hell would you bring anymore into the world?  uglystupid2 And-yes-I know the answer cuz the current gubmint setup makes it easy and in some cases-profitable. The Second it's no longer easy or profitable it Might go away on it's own. But I have No proof of that statement. I was brought up in a time when you took care of your family by yourself. When a Man was held Responsible for his actions or lack thereof. When things got tough in the early 70s I Worked hard to put food on my table and keep my bills current. At that time the gubmint would ONLY help me After I lost everything!  Lips Sealed I made a choice to keep what I was working for by working harder. Took some refinancing and some pleading and when she could-and I was NOT happy-my Wife went to work also. But we held on and made it. WITHOUT gubmint handouts. Could be the WHY of me being pissed off at the outsized welfare families and illegal people. RIDE SAFE.

Someone previously put those two categories together.  They do not belong together.  Dennis, I thought you were smarter than that.

While I do agree that the U.S. government should not provide welfare benefits to those who are in the country illegally that is a far cry from forced castration.  Some things are just not funny.
