never understood the low rider look making it basically 110% useless to drive here in WI roads. Even our base hyundai sonata in front scrapes the front if not careful or going to fast in our slightly slopped downward driveway.

My guess would be that they are slammed on the ground like that for looks when they are parked but most likely all have airbags or hydraulic suspensions that raise them while driving.

That looks cool...while reading about this, I found this, granted most of the motoring public would see a dirty Porsche...I see a "raced" car

The game anymore isn't making them purdy. Clear coat the rust an make them mechanically sound. Paint jobs can burn up a bunch of money in a restoration project that's for sure.

I think all those trailer queen guys are getting steamed cause all eyes gravitate to the rusto-rods. Guarantee you park that car in the middle of a bunch of show cars and it will attract 10 times the attention. That's why they do it. I would wrap a fake patina before I would sand paint off and buff a fake patina, at least you could go back. I like a natural patina as found, be it pedal cars, toy trucks, furniture. This is a '41 Caddy grill I have on evilbay now. $10,000 is the cost of a good chrome job for a show car on this part alone. Takes the fun out of the hobby if everything has to be perfect.

Airbags or not, I don't like the look. In fact, I despise it. If you're going to do suspension work, do ONLY what will make it ride better. Leave the beauty of the car the way it was originally envisioned and designed.
