What has 1255cc, gobs of torque and pulls like a train in all 6 gears (yes, 6 gears), adequate fuel/range, good gas mileage, very quick and smooth, ultra smooth gearbox...no clunking, very positive shifting. Standard riding position, with a stock COMFORTABLE seat, (yes, stock and comfortable) and adjustable height seat. Fuel injection and water cooled. Anti-lock double front disk breaks standard with a hard bag factory option and standard on one model, factory equipped center stand that will allow tire changes easy peasy. All this and a lighter package for an aging man with bad knees and broken feet, weighs in at 500lbs dry/560lbs wet. Sounds too good to be true and something that's been right under my nose and overlooked for years and it won't break the bank.

Let the guessing begin... No it's not an ST1300, I hated every moment on that short lived bike. I've been lost and adrift since parting with my beloved Valkyrie. I believe I have found something that will work well for me.

SUZUKI GSF1250 BANDIT

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

John Schmidt

My 1200, except it doesn't have six gears.  ;)

Pappy!

Grumpster beat me to it.

I believe the Suzy GSX 1100g I had was the gen before.  It was a great bike but 5speed.

1250 Pics?

Didn't Smokin Joe have one of those, sorta sticks in my addled brain but might be wrong. Crotch rockets are nice but not very comfy, to me at least. Maybe 10-12 years ago I rode one from Orlando to Gainesville for a friend. He broke his leg on a construction job and couldn't ride it home. By the time I got there, I wasn't sure I was ever going to walk right again. Took a week to walk upright, so it seemed. Was never so stiff and ached all over. Surely couldn't have been an age factor....could it?  ;D

Pappy!

Age factor for you, John? No..Naww....
Heck, you're still 39, right?

This is the Bandit GSX 1250FA...
It is a little different from the Bandit as it has a full faring and comes with anti-lock brakes and detachable hard luggage. It's not really a sport bike, Standard riding position and truly a very comfortable bike to ride. I can say the most comfortable I have ridden. I didn't believe it until I rode it. Every single review is outstanding right out of the box with no mods needed.
This is not mine, but a borrowed pic. My deal fell through, I was cautious of this guy. Something was fishy and the title was in another mans name, not the sellers name who refused to provide identification and refused to give his address but wanted to meat on the side of US 19. The bike was spotless, not one scratch and needed nothing. My gut told me something was wrong and I walked.

This is the Bandit 1250 S

The pegs on this one is further back then the ones on my GSX 1100g by about 4-6"  the G also came with h-bars that were very cruiser Ish from the factory, very high and wide. I changed to a lower one,  quite the power house.  Never a stitch of trouble saving the Jardine pipe that came on it was 4 into 1 and would scrape and hit on the right side lean. Bike did come with stock exhaust as an extra.

And yes John I remember pics posted of Smoken Joe on it.

Yes major red flags here,  did you happen to remember the name on the title?

Bronxboy

Hey Doug, this guy is right buy me. Bike looks super clean with ABS.

Hey Nick, That's the very one I went to buy, it's not in his name, under priced and he got frustrated and wouldn't answer any direct maintenance questions, but stated its been well maintained. The title is signed by another man whom I located in New Port Richey and I was also able to find his phone number. I'm waiting for confirmation it's not stolen. Maybe he got a deal and wanted to flip it quick and cheap? He stated he's not a rider but a collector and has 30 motorcycles, refuses to let me come to his home and wants to meet at a gas station in NPR. Smells fishy

Much appreciated Nick :cooldude:
The Sheriff's office told me there is something wrong with the title (wouldn't say what) I asked him send me a pic of the title...and he did :uglystupid2: The guy selling it is named Matt and the title is in another name, Vincent. He sent me another pic with 30 bikes squeezed under a stilt home garage conversion. Says he doesn't ride, just a collector?
Thanks for the offer.

Thanks Terry, not that bike although it looks like I may have scored a deal (first time in my life) and Larue would be proud. I'll keep you posted, if all goes as planned should have my new bike Saturday.
