She was a beautiful young woman who had a rough life after Happy Days. Pretty sad but a story that's told all too often after Hollywood fame.

According to a blurb I read bout her death just before her passing she was thrown out of a trailer park in Indiana. Drugs alcohol and suicide seems like it takes a rather heavy toll on the entertainment industry. Drugs took another young lady from That 70s Show that played the lead guys sister. Her pictures while performing and her arrest photos-shocking difference. RIDE SAFE.

Odd that she fell on hard times, she is not a one hit wonder, she has been acting since she was 6yrs old. I assume her parents managed her money. What a shame! I would never want to be a public figure, the fall is too high! RIP Erin!

Cancer is what I heard as well. She never told anyone so supposition was drug over dose just because of her track record. Never understood what these people do with their money and why stardom leads to drugs and alcohol?  Guess in order to belong to certain clicks that's the gig.

Look at the music industry and what happens there. Guess it about the same thing. Sad but true.

Throat cancer ?  That is on the increase and no one seems to know why.  I can tell you, it is a bitch. Stats say only 20% survive.

I had read an article a  couple days ago.  It also said stage 4 cancer.  The article also said there were no other drugs found in the house.  There is a California Hollywood group that reaches out to members that have troubled times due to the usual influences, but when she moved to Indiana, she just became removed from this group and they tried to reach out but could not help her due to the distance.

Such a shame   Rip Erin.  You have found happy days again.

do not know if she smoked but doesn't throat cancer mostly affect people who smoke or is that a myth?

I know when I was very young my dad knew an older guy friend coming to our house that had a voice box sticking in his throat so he could talk like a robot sort of very deep and scary sounding.  guessing he had throat cancer, not sure, never asked when younger since his voice box talking scared me a tad.

Its a big myth. Smoking certainly doesn't help anything, but, its not that much of a factor. 'They' say that smoking hurts the chances of recovery.  Most throat cancers are caused by HPV viruses and its on the increase.
I've never smoked, but, have inhaled a lot of other bad fumes over my life. But, 'they' don't have any reason for this cancer or its increase.
All I can say about it is that the cure/treatments are harse/barbaric but doable, its the side and after effects that are a bitch.
These cancers apparently are also hard to detect. I went to 7 doctors in 3 hospitals before the 8th doctor at the 4th hospital found it. This last doctor must have actually gone to school and studied medicine.

Cancer in the esophagus, which is at least part of the throat, certainly seems to be more common. Acid reflux, (who doesn't get that) is the main culprit here. Eating, drinking, and smoking habits contribute to the result.

Michael Douglas survived throat cancer.  He made the mistake of saying it was from oral sex, just trying to make a joke that backfired on him to which he apologized and set the record straight. He does smoke though doesn't he, or, did smoke.

Exactly.  My brother-in-law died from esophageal cancer.  It's from acid reflux that keeps coming up into the throat eating the throat and causing the cancer.  That stomach acid that comes up is some seriously powerful acid....and it will eat your throat.

He ate Tums for years and years.  It got to the point that he couldn't hardly swallow anymore and finally went to the doctor.  He was one of those kind of guys that tuffened up and never went to the doctor.  When he finally went, basically what happened was, the doc came into the room with John and told him that there was nothing that they could do at that point.  Within 3 months, John was gone.

If you have acid reflux, please treat it as something serious....because it is.

real cause of acid reflux is low stomach acid (hydrochloric acid). then the food does not digest but just sits there rotting thereby causing LACTIC ACID which causes all of the problems. they can sell pills, drugs and snake oil to remove the lactic acid but they can't sell anything to increase hydrochloric acid because what is needed and works are natural items.

if interested just web search the first sentence for the truth.
there are simple ways to increase stomach acid aka hydrochloric acid to digest the food.
