Thanks again to everyone. Wow! It was a perfect day for me. 70 degrees. I moseyed through the small town of Poe Indiana, got on Winchester road and enjoyed the curves and the sun warming my knees. Paddling the gear box reminded me of shifting the Valk. Some wind comes in from the back and gives me a little buffeting but it's all familiar. I turned off my hearing aids and stopped that and now I have a nice pair of ear plugs to lower the buffeting noise but not the snarl of the Miata''s engine when I rev it up to about 6500rpm. The exhaust is stock but the intake with the K&N setup is music. The smell of freshly mowed grass and fertilizer adds to the symphony. Ok, that doesn't fit but who cares, LOL. About 65 miles of daddling along and enjoying all of the smells and the clear blue sky. Convertibles and motorcycle share at least one thing in common. I came back and had a nice leftover lunch of pizza, then out again for another shorter stint. Samo, samo, and NOT boring. I finished the day driving into Zestos for a badly needed butterscotch sundae to top off the day. All told, a nice day for me and the wishes of friends to finish it off. Thanks again |
