Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

That is a great deal for a Rune, they usually go for 14k and up.

That was the worst handling bike I've ever been on, test rode one at Honda Homecoming once....hated it. At low speeds like a parking lot, it was like wrestling a pig. Even at $8k, I'd end up spending that much just to make it look decent.  :D

I wonder if it's a typo but I belive Rune's were only produced between 2004 and 2005

Really ? I think they look badass. I'd never have one unless I become rich, but I think they are probably the most stylish OEM bike ever put out. I've always wondered how they handled though. Is because of the front geometry ?

A buddy of mine bought one when they came out and I rode it for a while.  I don't remember it being a terrible handling bike, but I was so blown over by the power it had, to even consider handling.

My buddy and I went to the Honda shop when it came in and helped the setup guys uncrate and put it together.   Good thing, they were a little overwhelmed and we had to do most of it.

That front end is an engineering marvel, beautifully chromed.

Pappy!

I like them as well. Pretty much the most amazing "custom" production bike ever placed in mass production for it's time. That, by itself, is something amazing.
