Pretty good and funny interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qw3Lhc_zt8I think John touched some really important issues about what is all about America and being Christian (10m30s): a) Love God (as that gives me humility). b) Love my neighbor (as that connects me with my community) and put me into somebody else's shoes. c) Live a live bigger than myself. Quoting his words: "In the eyes of the big guy, we are all equal... and we have talents and we need to use it to change and heal this world". I really don't care what is the party (Republican or Democrat), but I do care about what is the best for America. We should leave no man (or family) behind: bring jobs back to USA and ensure people have joy and hope for the future. I admire people like Kasich and McCain, as they stand for what they say (unlike some... other people), as I'm a man of my word. Remember, the founding Fathers wanted USA to be the bright light beacon of Freedom, the city in the top of the hill for the whole world see as an example. Question: what have you done today to help your community/neighborhood? :-)

Kasich proven himself to be a child. He's a leader who put himself before his country. Instead of aspiring to something bigger, the unification of his party around their candidate, he stayed in the race much longer than he needed to and then boycotted the convention which was held in his own state. He should have been a gracious host for the event, instead he took his ball and ran home to cry in his room..
Just my 2 cents.

I am kind of surprised that you would be gullible enough taken in by words rather than past actions of a man that his sole purpose for running was to siphon off votes for Trump. He would never win and wasn't expected to, so in essence he was working for the Republicans to hijack our democratic system. To me the definition of a man bought and sold by his party a true paid for party man. Now you want me to listen to this man that speaks about God and unity, fat chance on that. Maybe you are not gullible, maybe like all your other posts they are veiled. I do sort of enjoy your posts with the game you play and the subtle way you play things.

I agree with G Man and Robert about Kasich. He is my governor. Much better than the previous, but as far as bring jobs to the US, he is a globalist and does not nor wants to understand what has happened.
You like McCain. That is interesting. If he and Lindsay Graham had there way they would have our troops invade your home country of Brazil ( I believe ) just because they want to fight everyone.

@G-Man: I respect your opinion on him.
@Robert: same thing, no need to call me gullible to prove your point.
@Alpha Dog: I admire McCain as he is a war hero and understands valor. Concerning plans for an invasion, that is pretty interesting, would you care to add details?
The only case that I'm aware of USA planning to invade Brazil was in the WWII if we decided to side with the Germans.
Instead we fought with the Allies, sending over 25K soldiers to fight in Italy, capturing over 19K Axis soldiers (2 generals). The country also hosted the biggest American 'air force' (actually US navy VP52) base operating in the South Atlantic, whose airplanes escorted battleships carrying US troops to Africa and Europe and attacked ships trying to trade with Japan.
Brazil was also the only South American nation to send soldiers to the conflict (unlike Argentina that decided to stay neutral and helped nazis to escape at the end of war).
The relations between both countries have always being quite friendly (e.g. USA was the first country to recognize Brazil's independence from Portugal in 19th century).
If there is any blemish to this relationship was CIA sponsoring the military dictatorship in Brazil, that ended democracy in the period of 1964 to 1985 (21 years). They did the same in other South American countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, etc) and I personally think is a perversion of the original values of right of self-determination that was so important to Jefferson and the other founding fathers.

Mr. Savago. I thought my statement would be a self evident extreme extrapolation of what the character of John McCain is. Of course he is not for going into Brazil. But it is widely known that he is a Hawk and would like to send our troops to many places where there is true trouble in the world. He is a Hawk. Other terms would be war monger, war hawk, saber rattle and such. Perhaps I should have inserted a sarcastic Imogen, if there even is one. I do not speak good imogen. Please accept my apology, and one can say he is a war hero.

I used to have a lot of respect for Kasich until the last election where he showed himself to be just like the other scumbags. McCain never misses an opportunity to scuttle the republican's agenda. We sent him a letter recently and told him if the next election comes down to him and a democrat, we'll vote for the democrat. Tired of his crap.

I like heroes who don't get captured. He is not a hero, he was a POW. While I think highly of anyone who is or was in any branch of the military, he took this hero thing (which he is not) and ran with it.

I don't know if he is a hero or not. I don't think I've ever heard him say he was. I have heard of him give a lot of thanks and credit to his fellow POW's though. I too used to think better of him as a politician. When he tried to act like a hard right politician against J.D. Hayward in his primary I lost some respect for him. Doesn't take away anything of his military service though. Seems kind of ironic for someone who hasn't served to pass judgement on someone who has. (Maybe ironic isn't the correct description, I'm trying to be polite)

Anyone who lived through (and survived) years of North Vietnamese abuse, solitary, chained to beds, starved, and rope tortured in the service of their county qualifies for hero in my book (except someone who deserts his post and comrades in wartime and walks right into the enemy fat, dumb, and happy).
I can never forget this for John McCain (or anyone else who lived through it), but politically, he became a RHINO incumbent many years ago and I have a hard time supporting him anymore. He really could be considered the poster-boy for incumbent politicians who have served so long they become a constant part of the problem, and not the solution. Making deals with Nancy Pelosi is the road straight to HELL.

No, he isn't. A little bit of reading on your part would have answered that. (It's not in the books about the Rothchilds though)

Isn't Pelosi in the House and he in the Senate ? Which deals did they work out ?
