In addition to all regular happenings within the VRCC, I'm sure the staff is extra busy getting InZane 2017 together. I'm sure there are challenges, disappointment, and frustrations they are experiencing leading up to all the rewards of the actual event, so..

Make it a point to thank those who are working hard so that we can enjoy the benefits of the forum, and have a blast at InZane. PM them, call em up, reply to this thread! Lets give them the shout out they deserve  cooldude

If you don't know who they are;
Connie Hammond aka "f6gal"
Scott Oakes aka "Scott in Ok"
Carl & Lori Holmes aka "Willow" & "Motomama"
Damon Kinter aka "Misfit"

I had never belonged to a club or had ever actively ridden with anyone. That is until I inherited my Valkyrie from my father. He told me to go to some place called the VRCC for info on the Valkyrie.

That comment changed me and motorcycling forever. I'm not only an active member and participate in rides, I have also made friends and find a great deal of support in my endeavors.

I recognize that the VRCC Staff is hard at work behind the scenes to not only make this happen for me but to also make it available for the rest of the VRCC community (and more).

From the bottom of my heart, Thank You.

It's pretty easy to sit back and take things for granted.

I usually say my thanks in person at InZane as I will this year but hey ..... nothing wrong with doubling up!
No matter what the guys will tell you ....... I know it's the gals doing all the work!  Wink

A big thank you to all for all your time and hard work!!

Most definitely we owe thanks to the VRCC officers mentioned above. Their love and passion for these machines is legendary. I also think the VRCC family and fellowship has a lot to do with what keeps this whole thing going.

Besides the staff, I'd like to acknowledge the entire Kinter family, who put in countless honors at Inzane manning the tables and doing a lot of behind the scenes work.
There's also Pat and Carolyn Schmidt who organize the volunteers and are a big part of putting an Inzane together.

And he doesn't always get the thanks he deserves for putting together the awesome rides, does the  reports and spends a great deal of time posting pics, but thanks a million to SmokinJoe!

There are many others who also lead rides and deserve thanks. Hopefully others will chime in.

Thanks to all the VRCC Vendors and Sponsors also.

And that's about all I've got to say.  Cheesy

Thanks Josh. Let's not forget Daniel Meyer for our tech sessions. He does a great job. Also our supporting vendors and individual members for donating raffle prizes. It is getting extremely hard to get quality raffle prizes donated. Hint hint. Also the members of this great club for volunteering there time to help out at these events. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth all of the trouble to continue Inzane. Those thoughts only seem to occur in the middle of winter. By the time riding season rolls around I am ready for Inzane. Once there and everyone is riding and haveing a great time I always wonder how the thoughts of not continuing Inzane could have possibly entered my pea brain. Inzane is awesome! I have met some very special folks because of this dinosaur that we ride. I truly look forward to serving at Inzane every year. This year is no exception. Let's make it the best one yet.  cooldude

Sad to say never met anyone on here personally, but I do thank the guys and gals that put all the work into keeping this wonderful
forum rolling. That takes a lot of caring on your part.

It is a very special 'place', this electronic clubhouse we all regularly attend. Nothing like anything I've ever experienced or witnessed, and nothing like it might have been. The folks who make the decisions and find a way to keep things going do an incredible job of providing this forum upon which we all rely for more than we may know...

Where else have we met so many kindred spirits...? Folks who are 'like me', yet so very different...? Folks from all over North America mostly, but around the world, too. All levels of the socio-economic ladder are represented, all walks of life, all religions and political persuasions can be found in our ranks. And, for the most part we get along... well, at least no worse than any 'normal' functioning family.

Overcoming challenges and 'finding a way' are but part of the story, though. There has to be more to lure us back again and again than merely surviving... At the heart of it all, I think, is our own love of our machines, our need for social belonging and acceptance, and our strong desire for interaction with other like-minded people. A place where we can express ourselves and feel our views are at least respected, if indeed not embraced.

Not a 'safe space' where we can soothe our bruised egos and feelings in a warm, group think, touchy-feely space, but one where openness and disagreement are allowed. The 'heat of verbal combat' is tolerated within reasonable limits so that ideas and beliefs can be tested and tempered and explored in the pursuit of truth, of logical conclusions. We don't always do a good job with this, and our overworked moderator(s) have to rein us in sometimes... Still...

I'm proud to be here amongst this group of amazing individuals. My life has been enriched enormously by my association with everyone who is a part of this 'special place'... I'm deeply impressed by the largely thankless efforts of our leaders who have overcome huge obstacles to keep the lights on and the boards available to us. And, therein lies the cornerstone... It's all of us that make it what it is...

So, when we're tempted to attack individuals instead of issues, when 'winning the argument' is more important than finding the truth, we all threaten to weaken our special place. It has survived, however, because our leaders have applied a deft hand to the gavel, have come down hard when necessary, gently when appropriate, and they've demonstrated the wisdom to know when to do what... nearly all of the time.

We are a well functioning organization populated with good, sincere people, and led by wise, insightful, visionary people who deserve our loyalty and admiration... Like I said, "I'm just proud to be here!"

Well said Bruce  cooldude I need to do a better job of just letting things go. I guess it's one of my many character flaws. Thanks for the reminder.  cooldude

As usual, Bruce, you are able to expand and detail the current subject, in ways that always impress and increase understanding.  Thank you.

I can't ever relate what this board has given me, any better than what has been already expressed.

I give my thanks by supporting the venders here when possible, buying a couple a calendars every year (although I'm not sure that is an actual fund raiser) and sending a little extra at that time.

Too all that do so much to keep this site going.

Thank You.
