I have a set of 440 shocks and one is leaking. They have a lifetime warranty. I called Progressive Suspension and they said the 440s have been discontinued. They dont have the replacement parts to fix them. They will replace them with the 444s for free if I have the receipt.

Here is the dilemma, I have moved since purchasing the 440 shocks and I cant find the receipt for them.

Does any one have a receipt or maybe a copy of a receipt they would be willing to part with?

If you have any other ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. cooldude

Thank you very much,
Chuck aka F6BANGER

I can't help with your receipt.Progressive gave that deal several years ago and the 444s are holding up much better than the 440s did.
Maybe you could try the company you purchased them from for a copy of the receipt.

Two ways:

Like Mike said, try to go back to the seller and get him to give you a receipt (they may or may not have records back that far)

If you ordered using a credit card, try getting the card company to go back through your historical records to find about the right size purchase ($450-500), and maybe you can remember who your seller was.  They can provide you with a record of purchase and payment, probably with the seller's name documented on it  (it probably does not say shocks, so you would have to argue that's what it was for).  Some credit card outfits may want to charge you for such a search.

Ex-girlfriend gave them to me for Christmas in 2006?, she also gave me the receipt. The place I THINK she purchased them, moved from Albuquerque to Showlow AZ. Their number here has been canceled. They dont answer the new number.  Not sure where she got them. http://www.accessorypitusa.com/Contact.aspx

Because of companies like this requiring a receipt - I have taken to always scanning my receipts and storing them on my computer - which is backed up regularly.  So much nicer, some companies now don't require a receipt and make no hassle on claims.  Like Costco.  They get tremendous loyalty from me because of their generous policy.
