I have gotten a few pair of the fire hose pants and am
wondering if others have worn them and what they think.
I like them because they are one of the very few that
offer then in short enough lengths.

I bought a pair of fire hose work pants exclusively for a road trip.  Put 4,000 miles on them before they needed washing,  cooldude then rode the remaining 1,500 miles home and washed them again. Had a spare pair of jeans along for backup but didn't pull them out.  Love the pockets and the ball room.  They also proved to be somewhat rain repellent (behind a Interstate fairing).

Have a pair and like them.  Large pockets and long enough legs.  I like long pants when riding.
I read reviews of bikers going down and they were protected.  Plus you can add padding in the knees.

I have a pair as well. Got them and washed them several times to soften them up a bit. That's about it so far but I do like the fit and the pockets.
For riding my go to pants are Diamond Gusset Defenders. Super comfortable and plenty of pockets as well.

I had a pair I got for riding. I thought the quality was high, and the thickness of them was
as good as jeans are going to get. They were a bit big for me, I gave them to my wife's
nephew who also thought they were awesome.

I rode a lot in Draggin Jeans, I'm liking the comfort of the Aerostich riding
jeans so much now that I wear them when not riding...

suggest u inquire what type of kevlar they are using.  Motoport was the first to use a type of Kevlar weave needed which provides the protection.

Kevlar®
Dupont strikes again

In order to give it the proper motorcycle abrasion strength Kevlar® must be woven together with other threads, like Dynatec and or Lycra, ei Schoeller’s Keprotec. These are the only suits approved for road racing other than leather. Some gear manufacturers use small portions of pure Kevlar® as a gimmick. Quality full suits of it can be found. This gear is lighter, offers greater protection and it breathes. It slides on pavement the same way as leather and dissipates friction heat better than leather. Due to its’ innate toughness during construction and the fabrics limited availability it is not widely marketed so it will take a bit of looking to get one.
