Just came across this youtube video of a Valk restoration. Very well done...I'm in awe of folks that can do this first of all, and then take the time to record the process. Anyone know this guy...is he a member here?

Saw this last week.  Mighty talented dude right there, obviously not his first rodeo.   cooldude If he ever gets a hankering to fully restore another Valkyrie ground up, I'll gladly loan him either of mine!

Watched the video and agree that man has a talent. Thanks for posting it.

Also, our own Attic Rat, Bob Smith, has built some beautiful bikes, starting with a bare frame. When he's done with them, they look like they came off the showroom floor. And with his performance mods, the bikes will run as good as they look!

Very cool video. It would have been frustrating to do all that work and have it hydrolock on the first start, but it sounds like he avoided that.

Not sure why he'd take one of the best touring bikes and make it useless for touring, but hey, it's is bike and if that's what he wants and he wants to put a time machine in the trunk, good for him.

Agreed, neat video. Wish I had done so five years ago on a resto I did then. If I could get Photobucket to quit dropping off line I'd post some pictures. Finally gave up on that idea.

Where my Brother has his shop and my S I L has her office in Island Lake Il. is a road that heads down to the river. Some of the V-twinkys there have sound systems that ARE heard above the engine noise. And they only have saddle bags. But I'm with you-I need storage just for my P G R stuff. Happy he restored it stead of lettin it git parted out. RIDE SAFE.
