Went to get a new F6B today!  Couldn't sleep all night!  New hip and weight loss and I know it will be perfect!!! cooldude

Wrong! Needs another 16" of leg room for me and forward controls.. Don't have the ability to ride in the position like a regular sized man that has more range of movement.  So, the heck with it! At least my Valk trike is still a beauty and my little camp bike (Harley Fatboy) let's me ride on!  Sumpin' new sure would'a been nice tho...  Undecided

I don't quite understand your reference to "range of motion."  I've had hip replacement and have almost the same range as my OEM hip. It's a bit bothersome to turn my foot outward is all but it doesn't keep me from swinging a golf club or riding the Valk. Other than that, I have the same range as before....just no pain when I do something.  cooldude

PS: I'm 5'10" & around 217-20. Probably have a few years on you as well but not important.  Wink

John, Mojo, . a couple of years ago I wanted badly to trade for a Triumph Bonneyville. It was just what I wanted (so i thought).

I rode it 1/2 mile and the pain was terrible in my left knee. I don't know about range of motion but I could not bend my knee that much, without pain, to rest on the pegs.  I went back to the Vstrom which didn't require bending much.

Granted, both of my knees are bone on bone.  I probably could've ridden longer in a feet forward Harley type but I chose not to and quit riding.

Maybe that's what Joe (Mojo) meant.

I am 6'4 and have 35" inseam. I've weighed 380lbs down to 275 in a few years. My "Range of motion" statement was referring to my inability to straddle the bike and lift my foot up to the footpeg.
I can't lift my left leg in the sitting position.  I do fine on the trike of course.  The little Harley is low so I kick straight out on the floorboard with my heal on the end and use toe shift only. V-twinkie is also not as wide.  My hip replacement left me feeling better but not good as new.  Also, I worked construction for 45 years finishing concrete, laying tile, etc.  Both knees are fubar, as well as, my back and other hip. Accept it but sure felt like the X-mas when I wanted a set of Gene Autry cap guns but got socks instead!  Sad

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
