The view this morning.  More snow forecast for today.  At least we didn't get the 3' plus feet some front range mountains saw from this system.

I love to ride around your state, but this news does not energize this southern boy to hurry back out there! Mmmm, I'm thinking another time, perhaps...

It's spring snow. It melts about as fast as it comes down. Rolling to Dublin TX with Dick on Friday to look at some cheese. You should come with us. You missed a good ride last weekend to the motorcycle museum in KS. Don't miss this one. Cheese isn't as cool as motorcycles but TJ 519 and the rest of the Texans more than make up for it.  cooldude

May can bring almost any kind of weather in/near the Rockies.  At least we don't see 30-second frostbite weather in May.

For those of us going to Inzane, they had 30"-36" on new snow on top of Beartooth Pass overnight. The crews are doing a great job getting the road open for us to ride.

Just another spring day a bit south of Lusk, WY on Friday morning. Temps at 33* F.

Of course it was white-out conditions for about 20 miles getting to Lusk Thursday afternoon and there just ain't a town or motel every 2 miles like in some parts of the country. I did not see another vehicle on US 85 for about 2 hrs Thursday afternoon and in those weather conditions that was just fine. I had planned going to Cheyenne, WY for the night but decided discretion was in order. It is now Saturday, sunny and in the upper 50's in Denver. I head back to WI on Monday across NE (boring) and IA (just a bit better) after spending the weekend with the eldest and her hubby. It has been an interesting trip so far.

I like Lusk. Its a biker stop at rally time. Stayed there 2 yrs ago at the Best Western/Stagecoach Inn. Park at your door and they cook breakfast outside every morning.

Best Western $198 for a one night stay, across the street at America's Best only $96 a night. Parked at the door, covered the Big Girl up and hoped for the snow to stop so I wouldn't spend a second day there. I can see if I were traveling with a few others and the weather a bit nicer that it would be a nice place to stop. Everyone was friendly.

Dam I didn't pay that much. Maybe $110 but I booked 6 mo out. I remember that place your staying in. Nice place and looked big.

Yesterday we went up to Visit Crater Lake, do so several times a year.   It is less than 50 air miles from where we live.   There was some 10' plus of snow along the rim.  The air temps were around 70, very nice day.  They got several inches of new snow late last week.

This is while we hit mid 80's yesterday in town, having a heat wave.
