One thing I know, it is impossible to stop a suicidal terrorist unless it's done during the planning process. Once the "mission" is underway it's simply a matter of who the terrorist wants to kill and where that terrorist wants to do the deed. Doesn't matter what the weapon of choice is, whether it's a truck, chemicals, swords, automatic weapons, or fertilizer and diesel fuel. An open society risks such events. We can choose to continue to accept the risk or, do something about it. It all comes down to where it happens and who it happens to. I consider Manchester as my home city, grew up about 60miles away from there. Every time I go back and visit the "motherland" we fly into Manchester, spent many a great day there when I was younger, and been to several concerts at the MEN arena where this terrorist bastard attacked.

I saw the news and I'm deeply sad by the lost of the innocent lives of the youth at the concert. The parents must be devastated... and the country in pain for this insane act.

The other day my daughter wanted to go in a rock concert nearby but I asked her to reconsider. Even though things a bit safer in USA, we can never know when terrorism will strike.

It is terrible.  It is wrong.  It is horrendous.  That said, based upon the stats you may be in as much danger driving on some hiways.  Oddly we don't feel terrorized by the hiways.

Live your lives as you would despite the news media and what terrorists do with it.  Execute terrorists quickly and surely when they are caught, not just the enactors but also the planners, trainers, and supporters.

My parents had no idea what I was seeing and experiencing, and I sure as hell didn't tell them.

It is no secret that your views lean to the left of many here.

He has a voice and has chosen NOT to use it to clarify his statement, my assumption is that he has found it hard to talk with his foot in his mouth..

Very sad, but I think what is even sadder is the left is not taking responsibility along with those in England's government for the attack. Its no secret that England's government knew about this kid. They were warned by his parents, was on their radar and knew of his Libya flight and yet did nothing. Why is it that the elites like Merkel allow this to go on with the loss of life among those they are sworn to protect. I think at very least they should legally be held accountable for the deaths as if they themselves did it.

 What we see is a left ideology or socialism being confronted by actions of someone who exploits those around them without regard for human life. This does not compute in the socialist hand book or the lefts. Cause and effect translated to actions of a horrendous nature somehow can be overcome with pouring more money, space, social programs, and regulating their lives and putting at risk those who are law abiding citizens. Of course while these people sit on their ideals safe from harm especially those in government.

The left should also be held accountable I believe, because while they bleed for the loss of life at the concert, they helped to create an environment to allow this to happen. Cause and effect, that one aspect of the chain of events and chain of responsibility seem to be lost among them.

But what I do see is using this as a way to attack Trump by saying that the leaks are hurting the investigation into this incident. An investigation that they knew the attacker, knew the history, knew the accomplices and did nothing in the past. Even with increase security, surveillance on every corner, loss of personal information, freedom and every tool at their disposal wrestled from the public's privacy and yet they failed because of a political correctness/socialism.

Judges stopped Trumps extreme vetting of people based on a point of view, not law, not any action, not considering the facts but on a view of the presidents about Muslims. I wonder if they will rethink their decision although I doubt it because those affect's are expendable and must be allowed under a boarder less society. We see the liberals in the judges position in the courts legislating from the bench instead of following rule of law.

Counter Terrorism agencies were facing questions after it emerged Salman Abedi told friends that “being a suicide bomber was okay”, prompting them to call the Government’s anti-terrorism hotline.Sources suggest that authorities were informed of the danger posed by Abedi on at least five separate occasions in the five years prior to the attack on Monday night.

The authorities were also aware that Abedi’s father was linked to a well-known militant Islamist group in Libya, which is proscribed in Britain. Abedi also had links to several British-based jihadis with Isil connections.

Yesterday his father was detained by Libyan militia in the capital Tripoli while the suicide bomber’s two brothers have separately been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offenses.
