I have spent the morning listening to you tubes of the Allman Brothers Band.  Nice entry by the way Kid.
Gregg and Duane pioneered the Southern Rock sound of rock, blues, jazz and some country infusion, a sound I have always loved since being introduced in the early 70s.   The Filmore East Recording in 1970 and released in 71 rated number two in a reader Rolling Stone Poll of best 70's Live recordings, in a decade of anyone that was anyone made a live recording.  Interesting that Bob Seger's Live Bullit garnered number one, but of course this is subjective.  Lucky for me I got to see them in the 70s and again in the 90s.

RIP Gregg.  I am sure your wish that Duane will meet you on the other side and say Nice work little Brother is now fulfilled.
