Being as it is rerun season I was flipping channels and got in on the start of a P B S presentation of the Flint water CRISIS. Three Distinct and separate gubmint agencies FAILED Flint Michigan. The Flint local gubmint The Michigan State Water board and our very own federally funded e p a. A Man from the e p a office in Chicago got the University of Virginia involved and all THREE gubmints-local state and fed said they were WRONG on the water in Flint being polluted. I M H O a LOT of people in all the agencies that FAILED need to be in Very Hard core Prison(s). Couple of the female employees at the fed e p a office in Chicago resigned but I would like to make cursed SURE they Never draw a nickel of Federal Retirement. Anybody sides me see this P B S presentation? After I sat thru the whole thing and Long before it ended I was literally sick to my stomach. The young children involved are the ones suffering the most.  RIDE SAFE. |

So my friend, what would be your solution to restore the potability of the drinking water
sooner rather than later?
I for one can't say I am surprised at the ineptitude of government at all levels, I am surprised that it was allowed to go on for so long now
Cant say a smaller epa would have gotten the job done. Maybe whats needed is funds get allocated, cant be touched like if I was building a house money released as work completed, anyone messes up go straight
to a place where they make you drink the water 24-7 till job finished

I saw it too (it was on NOVA). It wasn't ALL employees, but local Flint Gov't was definately trying to cover it up when they knew they were violating federal law with no corrosion protection.

Our governor has skated through this whole thing to date. No one will ever convince me that he didn't have knowledge of the problem before it was completely brought out in the open. Fix the problem as quickly as possible so these people can live life in a normal manor again. The government pisses away money every day. Allocate the money necessary to Flint, get crews together and get it done. How long is the government gonna screw with people's lives over a known problem?!

The previous administration was so concerned about protecting immigrants coming to this country, but couldn't even take care of the people of Flint. Typical! Flint should have been deemed a disaster area. Water is not a luxury, it's a necessity! With the amount of money in this country, we should not have less than third world country water supplies! A fraction of The amount of money sunk into the last presidential election could have straightened out this situation?

The Fed EPA was more concern with Global Warming than doing the job they were created for. Protection of our waters. They failed.

Can't help but wunder how much more money would be needed to address the Flint water debacle than had already been spent hiding the problem? ALL local state and federal worker drones and those in charge anywhere that knew of this problem and helped in the conspiracy or knew of the problem and basically ignored it should lose ANY and ALL future pensions and spend a serous amount of time in a hard core prison cell. How long you ask? Release em 5 days after their PROVEN death. And NO/NONE/ZERO/NADA posthumous pardons. RIDE SAFE.
