Last year I worked one of the corners for the World Superbike races at Laguna Seca. I was a flagger at turn 5. This year the races are on July 7-9, 2017. As a worker you get free camping, lunch each workday, dinner on Saturday night and $210 compensation. They are still looking for additional workers for this year's races.

If you are interested, go to the U.S. Auto Race Marshall's web site (www.usarm.org) and apply for membership ($25) and to work at the race.

You also get a close up view of some of the most awesome motorcycle racing in the U.S.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I used to work in Indy at all the races. 500, Brickyard, F-1, and moto gp as a medic. It was long 12-16 hr days but it was fun. Did get to be a body dragger for the Moto GP. That was fun.

Had a medic stationed in every turn. When a bike goes down and he don't get up right away, you run out and drag him off to the side lines. Most of the times they hop back up and continue racing. They don't stop the race for a wreck. Kinda exciting tending to a unconscious biker as other bikes whiz by you at 80 mph.  crazy2
