Very cool!

My first car was no where near that nice... Or remarkable... Or memorable...

1976 Dodge Dart

It motivated me to buy only Japanese ever since.

Sweet ol' ride.  I'll bet Mark can see the fuel gauge drop when he floors that beast!

da prez (Ross) had a 68 Bonnie with the 400 H O with that monster quadra suck. When you planted your right foot you could literally watch the gas gauge go down. Ross let me do that once or twice-long as I bought the gas! Yeah-that oil embargo thing in the 70s hurt. I remember the lines waitin fer yer 10 or 12 gallons. But I duz notice factory hot rods are way more serious today. I've been standing right next to Marks Pancho in his garage when he fired that 455 up. In a closed or open space you KNOW it IS a G M big block!  cooldude See-there are times son's Should listen to Dad!  Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

I gave my oldest son my dream car, a 1979 trans am. He promptly put it in the body shop and is currently getting it restored. It's come along way from its former version. Can't wait to see it done. We took the boat anchor 403 olds and transmission out of it and bought a rebuilt 1973 Pontiac 350 and turbo 350 or 400 transmission to replace it with. Should be a fun car when done. We work on it on the weekends together.

She is a beauty you never see those on the road anymore. My everyday driver is a 1977 Ford LTD 50 mile round trip every day. Of course built Ford Tough.  Alright sorry I couldn't resist lol.

love the dual exhaust NOTE and a LONG 2-door to boot, NICE!

biggest engine car I have ever been in was a 1970s something or another 4 door Cadillac with a 500 cu. inch big block.  I think in high school that year it overheated twice that night filling up the radiator with a garden hose summer of 1988.  Yah,  that gas gauge literally moved 1/8th at a time punching it often guessing 6-8 mpg tops.

SWEET. ...2 cars in my life I wish I had back, and we're perfect. 65 Olds 442 and my 66 GTO. Of the two, I would prefer the Olds if I had a choice.

Tonight Twila and I took the car to the annual New Haven Canal Days car show and cruise. Met up with a couple of buddies. My frond Scott and his yellow 68 Plymouth Super Bee,another buddy Dan and his Orbit orange 70 GTO Judge.  Rained early but no biggie. Waited for it to pass and dried the car off. No more rain the rest of the time. Went on a police escorted cruise around new Haven then back to the high school for the rest of the show. I have not shown the car for a few years. Was nice to get it back out. Besides it was still clean from the paper photo shoot,lol...

After another hour of talking cars with friends and other car people it was time for the awards. Now like I said I have not shown  this car in awhile. One of the reasons is it has quite a bit of rust under the vinyl top. I know it's there but it's not real noticeable unless your looking for it. Either way I was surprised to hear my name called for a award.  It was a nice night for a car show. Over 200 cars in that parking lot.

Hey Mark, is that the same show we saw at a school when Gman and I came out your way a few years ago?

Remember an awesome light blue and white 50's corvette and some other dandy hot rods that day.

Thanks to you and dad for that post !
