Hello,

I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction as I'm totally lost.  I have a 1999 Valkyrie Interstate 1500CF that requires a final drive replacement.  I found one on eBay that reads that it's for a "99 Honda Valkyrie GL 1500" but I'm unsure if it's suitable for the Interstate version?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Any final drive should work, but if you look at the video, the poor salvage bike (I mean, it could have been saved!) is a Valkyrie Interstate so that should answer your question.

The splines look good in the pictures.

I hate vultures.  But at least this transplant will bring your Valk back to life.

Wow, I hadn't even noticed the video down low on the screen.

Thanks for pointing that out and for your opinion on the apparent condition of the splines.

I love my Valk and I'm not quite ready to give up on her just yet.  Thanks again!  :cooldude:

Find a local shop to fix yours. The parts are still available. Might be more $$$ but it'll be new instead of used.

find a low mile goldwing GL1500 final drive and swap out the spline cups. I recently picked up a 12k mile unit with u-joint for a c-note on craigslist. and that was shipped.

I've refurbished a couple of final drives with good used 1500 wing parts, and
I'm glad I did it was a fun project.

But if you bought a good final drive for $250 to get your broken bike back
on the road, you're a winner all around  :cooldude: ...

I'm more curious as to why your final needs replacing. They don't go bad unless neglected, which is usually what happens if you have a shop do your work instead of yourself. Can you fill us in a little?
