My Brother-in-Law (I bought my Valk from him) is looking to start riding again after 3 knee surgeries and two hand surgeries. He's looking to buy a Goldwing and was wondering if anyone here has some good sites to post on? Thanks!

A common misconception about the Wing is that it's too heavy. It may weigh nearly 1/2 ton, but it rides light, i.e., it's well balanced with a low center of gravity and front end geometry that lets it steer easily. I mean, it has a reputation as an old people's bike for a reason: It's easy to ride. But, as my friend HayHauler says, "It's only an OldWing if you ride it like one!"

I've had two wings and they were great but a friend had a trike and sold it after a short time due to his wife not liking being bounced around. Up an down and side to side. They also didn't like it in corners. It had a solid rear axle which would give a rougher ride than independant suspension. I like the Valk trike but a nice Mazda miata seems to be the way to go for me at my age and a lot cheaper. I've always wanted a VW trike with a factory custom frame and body but oh well I never got one. I like them because of the ability to get parts and easy fix ,very low center of gravity ,bucket seats an plenty of power. Lots cheaper than a GW or Harley trike.

It's called searchtempest. http://www.searchtempest.com/Put in what you are searching for, and it will search all the CL adds. I know it's changed recently, but I stopped using it now that I bought my Valk.
