Airline strike 1966?? Or 65? Anywho-bought a 64 Corvair and went on leave from N A S North Island California to Mom and Dads Casa in Round Lake Illinois. Biggest regret of that sojourn? Had a camera with me and neglected to make use of it!  uglystupid2 Got some kicks on Route 66!  Roll Eyes Gas stops in Arizona and New Mexico charged to fill yer water jug at that time. Vast stretches of open Highway with not very much on it. As an aside nader should have NEVER killed off the Corvair-run all day at 90-100 M P H and still git mid 20s for fuel mileage. I've owned four of them over the years. And yer pics have reawakened some nice memories.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Nice!

Hey  what's with that Winslow Arizona corner?  There's either a fence or police tape around in every pic.
