Man, that makes me cringe just thinking about it.  Shocked

From your title, I thought you were just warning everybody that your spawn might be peeing in the hotel pool.  2funny

It really is amazing you don't hear of more accidents like this. Although you would think that people would understand the dangers of getting too close, I was a little surprised the first time we did Yellowstone at how minimal some of the protection was around some of those areas. Obviously you want it to look as natural as possible, but with the amount of people visiting there and some being of the "not so bright" variety........
My wife and I spent a full day riding to all 4 corners of Yellowstone several years back...it was a great day. I even managed a little fly-fishing for an hour or so on a couple of the streams cooldude So much to take in there...the geyser basins and outlying pools, etc were outstanding...more impressive than Old Faithful. We  managed to park the bike and walk up just as OF was starting to "spout off". A definite "gotta see it moment", but the old guy must've been tired that day Wink

I have been to Yellowstone several times and even as a kid, understood how dangerous some of the areas are. It is truly amazing what has happened to the gene pool.....
Here is one of the shots I took of the bubbling hot mud pots. Caught it mid gurgle....
Can't even imagine how hot these are!

Went to Iceland day after thanksgiving. Was beautiful. Did you make it to black rock beach? This world is awe inspiring.

Been to Yellowstone and also to Lassen National Park in Northern CA.   Both had hot spots that you can feel heat a ways off. Lots of bubbling areas with steam raising off on a hot day (and really on a cold day).    Not sure about folks that want to get closer look.   Just nuts.  But then, correcting the Gene Pool.
