Just got in about 15 minutes ago from Robbinsville, NC & the Fall Color Ride. It was just a bit nippy out there today but the sun was shining and when I would stop it was warm enough to warm me right up.

Joe, thanks for letting spend the night Thursday evening!

Gordon (aka Lucky 13), thanks for diner and your fire building skills.

Ron (aka Norman Dog) , thanks for the tour around your part of North Carolina, with luck the next time I'm in the area the sun will be shining, the roads dry and the cheese factory in operation.

To everyone that made the Fall Color Ride, it was great to see some old familiar faces, meet a few new and see that Stanley (aka The Kia Kid) rode his motorcycle.

I hope to post some pictures etc. later this week .... after I thaw out!

Hey Thom... I sure was warm with my heated vest and gloves and two layers of silk longjohns, of
course down here in the South it was only 40 or 45... it was warm and sunny at home when I
left, so I just had a tee shirt under my mesh jacket on the way up... I added a layer at
Cherokee, but I was still so cold my jaws were tight when I got to Robbinsville... riding cold ain't
near as nice as riding warm! It was great to meet you, I've been seeing your handle on the board
ever since I've been here...

Good to see you in Robinsville. Gald you are home safe.

Sorry about the Bears - the Falcons held on for the win!  :D  8)  :2funny:

Good to see you as well. Keep Key West in mind for May 2010, leaving right from Cheaha. Sorry you son couldn't make the ride but I remember scraping money together to buy a house when I was that age ... tell him I said Hi and good luck in buying the property.  :cooldude:

No big deal about the Bears .... just because the Bears got an All Pro quarterback still doesn't mean they now have All Pro receivers, Off Linemen, Def Linemen, Linebackers, etc.. I figure if they are lucky the Bears may go 10-6 but will most likely be a 8-8 team.

Tom glad you made it home safe. Nice riding/meeting with you on Friday. How long did they hold you up there at wheelers. Hope they got you going without any issues. Dave

I was in and out in 2 hours ... and I felt the price was extremely fair considering that the tires were Metzler. Good meeting you and thanks for the escort.

I enjoyed the visit Thom. Ditto on everything you said about next time.  :cooldude: You are one riding son of a gun and I look forward to the next time.
