Yep, Happy 4th of July to all....
Ryan and Taylor were here yesterday afternoon to start the celebrations, and stayed the night....
We started with locally harvested mussels, steamed in a white
wine with Dijon mustard, shallots and garlic.
We followed up with steamed lobsters and corn on the cob grilled over an open fire.
While enjoying plenty of ice cold brews and sitting around the fire,
our neighbors supplied fireworks which we could see over the tree tops.

This morning Laurel picked the remaining lobsters, so lobster quesadillas
with tomalley  and bacon was the main course.

Desert was strawberry rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream

Happy 4th everyone! We're hosting a family cookout this afternoon. Last night we went to Walpole, MA annual fireworks. They were great!
