Thanks, Dennis.
I have an old friend and former neighbor who served as a paratrooper in the Pacific in WWII. He's over 90 now and lives alone. He's getting very frail. Mark and Twila are watching over him and bringing him meals. His kids want him to go into assisted living but he's stubborn. He's fallen a number of times in his home and it's probably a matter of a short time before he 'fades away'
I hope that he will be honored.
Find out If at all possible if he or the Family wants the P G R to stand for this HERO when It's his time. We Have to be invited or asked. Without Fail I Always consider it an Honor to stand for Any Current or Former military or first responders. A Very Young-8 years of age-leukemia patient wanted to be-his words-a Cop. I believe it was last year the Winona Missouri Police Department made him an Honorary Police Officer. That young Police Officer passed away this past week and I was the Ride Captain on a mission in Winona 6 July 17 and I walked over to the Police Dept and contacted the Chief. I laid it out for the Chief and he said he would contact the family because on the News they stated he was going to get full Honors as a Police Man and I mentioned that the P G R would be Proud to stand for this young Officer. I contacted my Senior R/C after the fact but he agreed with me. I believe that news story was broadcast the 5th on KY3 out of Springfield Mo. The letter I posted was part of that WWII HEROS death notice. It was mailed back home to his family. And his family stated he kept his Promise to GOD and served GOD the rest of his life. RIDE SAFE.
