Of your living presidents, either Bush could probably get elected in Alberta, Carter could get elected in Manitoba, Bill Clinton could win a seat in BC or the east coast, and many Ontario ridings would definitely elect Obama. I'm not sure Quebec would take any of them, but then I'm not an expert on the thinking of Quebecers. |

I would take Trump in a heartbeat...the politically correct progressives that are in parliament right now are just going to spend our grandchildren into debt...now that just ain't right. The Trump haters have to quit watching lefty MSM news for a change...with very few exceptions, it is pure made up garbage. In my opinion there has not been a decent Democrat since Kennedy was assassinated. I hope they keep their focus on Russia and transgender bathroom labels...that will kill their chances for an added 4 years.

Oh, I knew you would vote for him. I'm pretty sure, however, that you and others that would vote for him would be in a minority in pretty much any riding in Canada. But then I never would have guessed that the NDP would have a majority government in Alberta. I hope the new United Conservative Party can make it right after the next provincial election, and that Andrew Scheer can swing voters back to the Conservatives next federal election. |

Look at what just happened to B.C.-another round of the far left leaning NDP being controlled by the swing vote of 15% of the population who voted for the Green Party.
BTW...don't be so sure that the right will unite in Alberta...the Wildrose's high 75% threshold in the vote may be upset by a barrage of left wing people joining the Wildrose to sway the vote just enough to stop the United Right...as awful a thought as it is, the NDP might just squeak in again.

Well that is great news...my wife and I attempted the online voting site for the Wildrose but never received the access code #'s to vote...a call to the Wildrose office turned out to be an exercise in futility...so we were not in that 95%. I hope that this is a big heads-up for Albertans about who the NDP really are. The unfortunate chain of events that got the NDP elected in the first place are very unlikely to ever be repeated again anyway. A poll done in April showed that decided and 'leaning' voters numbers stacked up like this...30% PC, 38% WR and 23% NDP...not good news for Rachel...she will be lucky to keep her own seat. We have been distracted lately with getting ready for a trip to Kelowna Leavenworth and Whidbey Island to visit with family over the next 2 weeks...so I have not kept up with local news at all. The bike is fueled up and ready...we are on our way tomorrow.  |
