"When You're Dead, Your Bank Account Goes to Zero"

Livin' Better Side of The Great Divide

« on: July 28, 2017, 10:35:13 AM »

June Foray created the voices of Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Natasha Fatale.
She died yesterday at 99 years of age.

"Rocky and Bullwinkle" was one of the cleverest cartoon shows ever broadcast; I believe that it targeted adults as well as kids.  Great one liners and asides posed to the audience to ponder for themselves.
Additionally, the cultured voiceovers of Edward Everett Horton made him uniquely unique in "Fractured Fairytales".

Thank you, Ms. Foray, for giving this kid a good laugh. angel

Looking at her biography, she also voiced "Granny" for Tweety and Sylvester and Nell Fenwick (Dudley Do-Right's girlfriend).
Wh'otta great job!

I did not watch a lot of cartons, but undoubtedly this was my favorite along with Johnny Quest.  Most definitely targeted towards a more intellectual audience. I saw a couple of tributes to June Foray a couple days back.  I was amazed at her career, one I really did not know about.  Voice of many memorable characters in TV land over her storied career.

So now in tribute to you Ms. Foray I am going out as I must kill Moose and Squirrel.  Probably easy to get squirrel in Ohio.
