SideCar

Play stupid games and you win stupid prizes. Ouch!
This is also why I'm very particular who o will and won't let my kids ride with. The passenger only gets to decide whether or not to get on or not. Once you've gotten on, the rider making bad decisions is the same as you making them. Dang, I'm getting preachy. Guess it's because I used to be that stupid squid that wanted to impress girls on my bike.

Somehow alive, but still in intensive care a week ago.

SINGAPORE: Two Malaysians injured in a road accident here a week ago are still undergoing treatment at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital here, according to a spokesperson of their employer Certis Cisco, a security services company.

"We appreciate your concern for Mr Danny Raj Muniappan and Mr Trivikram R. L. They are currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital for their injuries," the spokesperson said in an email reply to Bernama today.

Danny Raj and Trivikram were flung off a motorcycle after crashing into the back of a stalled car on the Seletar Expressway at about 10.30am on July 24 when they were reportedly heading to Johor Baru after their work shift.

A video of the accident, which went viral, saw pillion-rider Trivikram flung into the air and landing several metres away from the car.

Seconds earlier, Danny Raj had rammed onto the open boot of the car which had stopped on the extreme right lane of the highway with the hazard lights on.

Danny Raj's father. Muniappan Govindaraju, reportedly said that his son suffered a ruptured bladder, a fractured pelvic bone and lost a lot of blood.

He also broke his left arm and left leg while Trivikram suffered a fractured pelvic bone and a broken leg.

Certis Cisco declined to give further information when asked whether their two staff were still in the intensive care unit.

"Please rest assured that Certis Cisco is extending help to our staff and their families," the spokesperson said.
