Ride Date: October 14th

It is getting to be that time of year for the Missouri Fall Colors Ride. This year, we will be riding in Southwest MIssouri. Our hotel is the Deer Run Motel just west of Branson. http://www.deerrunmotel.com/ Please be sure to mention VRCC Fall Colors Ride when you call to make your reservations. The price will be $64+tax. The motel has a complementary breakfast and there is a small camp/liqour store next door. Fall is a busy season for the motel so please make your reservations early.

The ride will cover about 210 miles with a stop at the Roaring River State Park and Fishery. Lunch and dinner are still being determined.

I want to throw out a special thanks to Toni, Scott, Jim, and Shala for putting everything together.

Please respond to this post if you are going to make the ride so we have an idea of the size of the ride or if you have questions.

Today is the tommorow you worried about yesterday. If at first you don't succeed screw it-save it for nite check.  1964  1968 U S Navy. Two cruises off Nam.

Anyone going to this ride and the one in Robbinsville the next weekend.  I'm definitely going to Robbinsville and really wanting to go to this one too. Probably going to be leisurely meandering along smelling the roses and seeing the sights in between setting up a tent for a few nights along the way.

Hey Mark,
The roster is on the Facebook Event page.  Looks like we have 16 folks signed up (including you and me).  I think we have a few more that didn't sign-up through Facebook that will be there.

Rode the route this weekend and made a couple of changes to the ride.  The route is pretty darn good with a good mix of what Southwestern MO has to offer.  We will be stopping at a trout hatchery on the morning leg...where we will get to spend a couple of hours looking at the fish and surrounding area.  The colors hadn't really started changing but it will still be a great time.

The hotel seems to be pretty nice and has a breakfast (biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon/sausage, etc) available.  They also have a picnic area with fire pit (and they are supplying some wood) for our use.

I am planning on having stands-up at 8am.  That should put us at the hatchery around 9am.  Hoping to leave the hatchery around 11am so we can move on to lunch at 12:30ish.  We should be back to the hotel by 4pm and then head out to dinner.

  Can't wait!!!
