Had a nice Romp in the sun with Little Martha today. It had been a while but we made up for lost time pretty quickly. She was ravenous and needed several rest stops to fill her tank while I got by cheaply on Slim-Jims, jerky, Diet Dew and Monsters. Little Martha of course is my Valkyrie.

She rolled over 118,000 miles today while we enjoyed twisty two lane highways & overgrown county roads, all surrounded by Indiana’s seemingly endless seas of corn, hay fields and woods. We rolled through a bunch of PoDunk towns while managing to skirt around all but one larger one.

No close calls, no “fast driving awards”, just a great time under an endless sky enjoying this world God so graciously lets us inhabit.
I often wonder if my favorite poet, Bob Dylan was talking about motorcycles when he said “the answer is blowing in the wind”.
