Headed to San Francisco for a Week

Sherry and I are headed to San Francisco tomorrow morning to visit our son. First time there for the both of us. I've only been to the airport before while on a business trip.

We've got side trips planned to Napa and Santa Cruz. We're staying downtown close to Union Square and should be able to walk or take the tram to most of the touristy stuff. We wanted to do an Alcatraz tour, but found that you've got to book that about 3 months in advance and we missed the window. We're taking a boat road around the Bay instead, which includes a circle around Alcatraz. I'll post some pics when we get back.

Sometimes people don't show for the Alcatraz tour. If I remember they have a stand by window. Might check it out. And yes have lunch at Alice's . You could do it on the way to Santa Cruz. It's a cool city, you guys will have fun.

No worries, that's not going to happen. San Francisco is very cool in the summer. Been here half a day so far and having a great time!
