Saw one in person today and it really looks good on the outside the inside looks like a BMW very well done. Now if they could only boost the power to about 300hp that would be the ticket.  cooldude

it is all power to weight....at the MOTORSRORTRANCH is Cresson Tx....my Zo6 Corvette was sorely tested on the shorter courses...power to weight is great ..but in a corner...beats me what physic's equation applies..but those Miatia's  come in faster ,circulate faster and accelerate well on tight courses!

Well yeah, that and suspension, balance, brakes, horsepower and the driver's skill.

I used to Auto X, the local Mazda dealer would sponsor the parking lot we used.    Of course, it was a very tight track that definitely was better for the Miatas.   Auto X'd down in Bowling Green, KY with the local Corvette Club, their course was set up differently and definitely worked better for them.    Different set ups, different tracks, different results.   The Miata guys didn't like the track and the way it was set up, said it favored the Corvette's suspension.   I'd agree.   But, they didn't gripe when the track was set up for their attributes.   Auto Xing is as much about the driver skills and the track as it is about the vehicles on the track.

Depending on the track, either one can be almost unbeatable.

My BIL got the MAZDA MX-5 MIATA RF. Haven't seen it in person yet, but looking forward to a test drive when I do. LOL
