So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Covington, TN

« on: August 08, 2017, 06:53:17 PM »

For years my Spousal Unit has made No Bake Cookies for everyone, it's relatively easy and just about everyone loves them.

Not sure of all the ingredients other than Oatmeal and Cocoa.   But, I'm not a chocolate fan.   Don't get me wrong, I can eat them but, chocolate is simply not a flavor that gets me excited.   I can take it or leave it.   However, my favorite is just about anything with pecans and/or coconut.

Having said that, my S.O. found a recipe for No Bake - Pecan Coconut Praline Cookies.

All I'm gonna say is OMG!!!!!   These things are great!!!!   Warning, they are not on anyone's diet menu or list.   But, they are wonderful.  I highly encourage anyone with a "Sweet Tooth" to give these a try.  YUM!!!!   Diabetics, stay away from this Cookie.............

Ingredients:
2½ cups sugar
½ cup evaporated milk
½ cup corn syrup
½ cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-2½ cups chopped pecans
2½ cups grated coconut

1. Set pecans, coconut, and vanilla off to the side
2. Mix sugar, evap milk, corn syrup, and butter in large saucepan.
3. Bring to a rolling boil & boil for 3 minutes.
4. Remove from heat & add pecans, coconut, and vanilla
5. Stir for about 4 minutes.
6. Take a spoonful of batter and place on wax paper. Let it sit until batter has
hardened.
7. Remove from paper and enjoy.    cooldude
