196 miles
Less then 200 original miles on Perfect 2003 Honda Valkyrie. Six carbs, six cly. all original as from dealer, except some extra chrome was added. Carbs recently just done. New battery. Bike needs nothing. Price is firm. No lower on price.

Good luck with that sale, costing more than when new.

Just do not see WHY even buy it if not riding it at least somewhat over the years?

I had high hopes of buying a few weeks ago a lower mileage 1984 V65 magna with only 25K miles.  Previous owner bought it in 1991 with 16K miles or so, so near 10K miles he put on it in 26 years.   Tires were code dated 2003 as well but looked near new tread depth anyways.  1500 firm no lower.  I was good with old tires for that price until I drove it.  Backfired horribly at all speeds and was super slow like 250cc engine slow.  Darn thing would not GO FAST NO matter how hard I tried.  I passed on the deal.

Frankly I'd be more worried about a bike that was set up and then sat for 15+ years then I would with a bike that had been ridden and loved all those years... Nothing kills a vehicle more than just sitting and not being used.

And with prices dropping like a rock for all motorcycle brands right now, and that includes HD prices.

Something not right, the zero's don't line up on the odometer. Tires would be dangerously old, radiator fluid outdated and so on and so on.....

and in two pics looks like the exhaust pipe is blue. that's pretty bad for OEM pipes.

My guess is that it wasn't ridden for a lot of miles but someone sat on it a lot with it idling in the garage.    Shocked

I saw that also, but thought maybe it was the camera angle.  If it truly has only 200 miles, how could the OEM pipes be blued?

I hope he enjoys looking at it for another 14 years at that price.

While I certainly understand the need because the bike sat 14 yrs....it's still an insane(Inzane?) thought to think, "Well, we've hit 198 miles, time for a carb rebuild"!!!!

IF I was comtemplating spending money on a mint condition Valk, the first thing I would do is go to Attic Rat(Bob Smith) and see what he has in his stable of "built from the frame up" Valks.  They look brand new and I know that would run right!

I know a few of those people. Guy down the block has a newer Indian Chief (3 yrs old) has 550 miles on it. I asked him yesterday if he wanted to loan it to me for a year and I'd break it in. He didn't see the humor.

I guess this is the point I have to come clean. I have a Standard that I've only put 1k on in the last year.  Embarrassed just haven't been able to part with her.

At least 1000 miles per year riding should be enough to keep the cycle running well as it should be.  I only put on 3-4000 miles per year but that is at least enough to keep it from being gummed up inside.

No luck this weekend either drove 150 miles one way for a 1983 v65 magna and after 20 minutes prior to leaving on the phone, I had my hopes up immensely.  Well,  it ran like a scalded dog super fast and super great for 1500 owner saying NO lower.  He admitted paying 1200 for it 3 years ago but had to stick 800 bucks in it to get it running well.  Too bad the tank inside was rusted,  frame was rusted and some chrome all over as well as 20+ paint chips all over the gas tank with 2 big dents one in the tank and one in the exhaust.  He said no lower so I passed, although it ran EXTREMELY well ONLY ONE out of 4 that actually ran as it should - SUPER FAST and smooth and no abnormal engine noises.

I had a V45 nice bike. Always wanted a 65 but never found one that was right. Some people's in great shape and mine are quite different.  I've wasted a bunch of gas looking at "great " bikes!
