I hope that he will be eulogized more for his selfless (twenty eight years) telethons on Labor Day weekends in the name of raising money for research to find a cure or render aid to those afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy. I loved it when he would call his really wealthy friends and just rib the heck out of them until they cut a big check. The guy helped raise over two billion dollars over time.
I don't believe that we'll ever see again any one individual devote those many hours, every single year in such a mission.
Our volunteer fire department made it a point every year to try and "fill the boot" at intersections and canvassing local businesses.
God shall welcome this good human being.
