OEM saddlebag heat shields

The black sheet metal that attaches to mounting brackets,used as a heat shield.Thanks

Unless you are talking about the chrome ones that stick onto the front of the saddlebags. There is no fiche for those.

Right not available, left way too much $$$$ even if it's available.

Better off making your own.

Strange, in the link, the right heat shield is obsolete, but the left is still for sale.

Mine are pretty beat up, bent up (to clear my exhaust tips), bent down (to get the bags back on).   I sanded off some rust and shot them with rattlecan a few years ago... and they look beat up anyway.

They can also be a source of irritating rattles.

Mine are pretty beat up, bent up (to clear my exhaust tips), bent down (to get the bags back on).   I sanded off some rust and shot them with rattlecan a few years ago... and they look beat up anyway.

Can't remember ever seeing some of those for sale on Ebay.

I sand them down and respray every year I have the bags off.

They don't have to look pretty,they get hot and get a lot of water penetration..as long as the saddle bags don't melt and spill my beer...I'm good.

You can also look over the Shadow ACE Tourer for the same part. Used, maybe new.

Wow, at that price, I'll keep my ACE T saddle bag brackets around.

Just looked at the microfiche for a  1998 Shadow ACE 1100... not exactly the same shape,  but each side heat shield is less than $35.   Since i'm pretty sure the saddle bags are identical for the Valk as for the ACE,  I'd buy the ACE heat shields and adapt them to fit some how!!

I might just try it for those prices..looks like the same part,alrhough I found another pair of saddle bag mounts with good shields,I must be using the beat up ones on my main ride.The mounts I just bought have tremendous chrome,Ill just hang them on the wall for now as decoration.
