Ride Safe, Be Kind

Earth

« on: August 25, 2017, 10:22:42 PM »

A guy came by tonight and checked out the Mothership.  He brought cash and met my asking price.  Seconds away from trading keys for cash...I just couldn't.  The guy was cool about it, luckily he hadn't come too far.

I went inside and explained it to my wife who said "I'm glad you finally came to your senses, I never wanted you to get rid of your bike."  I married really well.

We are riding to breakfast in the morning.

Y'all are going to be stuck with me for a long time.

Ride Safe and I hope to ride with you,

Alien

Indeed you did, sir! Most of us understand and can appreciate what you've been through... Most of us can also identify with the decision you've made... It's so much more than owning machinery... It's having an affair with a mechanical being... Love is truly a powerful thing...

Glad to hear it... Still wish we'd had a chance to meet up at Inzane and chat, no matter our other difference the Brotherhood of the Blue/Ivory Valk is pretty strong! Smiley

I have known too many people that sell their bikes because they got married and wanted to start a family only to never ride again. I may not ride as much as i would like to but i'm never selling my bike. Yeah there is what if you wreck and die. Something i try not to think about and just enjoy my time on the bike and with my family. I am also glad you didn't do something you would regret.

Same... My father in law is my inspiration. While my wife was gestating he got in a bad motorcycle wreck, almost didn't make it, and swore off riding until later.

Later came, and now he physically can't ride.

That convinced me to live life to it's fullest TODAY, tomorrow isn't guaranteed!

same here, agree as well.  I sold my 1984 honda magna (wifes doings) in 1998 to start a family so sold it for 1500.  Today some near 20 years later is still worth 1500...   uglystupid2

Just today though my wife made a comment she likes my Valkyrie I/S and not old enough to get me a used mid 2000's goldwing so keep it awhile longer.  Not many Valks around vs. Wings either and after sitting on a newer goldwing being more upright sitting and tighter quarters surrounded by more tupperware,  I could get used to all that I suppose, not sure really though?  Roll Eyes

Alien , send him my way. I have one for sale. I will keep my 98 for as long as I feel safe. I bought another black and chrome that I went thru. I did not want any more Valks being parted out if I can help in any way. This is my fifth Valk and my wife has no problem with me buying them.
