It's rough not sure of my plans for it ... Re-build ?  Parts bike to keep my other Valk's on the road ?  As stated its rough however I think the one in the first picture was worse when I got it and rebuilt.

Did it start?
weld the frame into the back of an aluminum rowboat with a cutout for a
rear paddle wheel and you could have a dandy one of a kind redneck watercraft

I see enough pieces of unobtanium on that you can prolly sell off a few pieces and make your money back, and still have a solid base to build from or a solid parts bike... Nice find. Would rather see her being put to use than rotting away in a field.

Dang! And it's a Bumble Bee to boot, now I'm jealous.  Grin  Looks like you might get a little noise from the front tire rubbing, might be a tad tight in there!  Grin  Be sure to keep us updated with pics, I always find this kind of stuff fascinating to watch how a bike it brought back from near death.

Yup, Corbins....more unobtanium. I got mine maybe 14 yrs. ago and they quit making them shortly thereafter. They weren't cheap even back when they were still producing them, I bought mine from a member for slightly less but still had to get them painted.

Good find, Joe. I can probably answer how the rider faired. He probably flew right over and through those handlebars, just like I did in 2007 when the teenage girl pulled out in front of me and I tboned her Mercury Cougar right in the drivers door.

The bke stops very quickly as the forks compress and bend right into the timing belt cover.

The rider keeps going...at the same speed as the bike was going at impact.. It's definitely an ouchie!

Depends entirely on where the rider went from the bike.  Nine years ago I had no warning so there was no braking and the nose of the bike was still up on impact.  I was ejected up and over the cage.  I survived.  A couple of months before another of our riders experienced almost the same impact.  The nose of the bike was down at impact and he was thrown into the side of the cage.  He was dead before the ambulance got him to the hospital.

What I hate about going thru the motorcycle salvage yard is the thoughts of what happened to the riders on impact.

Hurt both him and his wife she got the worse of it from the drivers backrest. He said he had got the speed down before hitting the car.

Nice find, if the frame isn't bent at the steering head bearing area, I'd say rebuild. If the frame is bent, get another frame rebuild that yellow monster anyway. Good luck

Three that run and ride ...  Two more that probably never will .. The two crashed bikes I've got are fairly low mile bikes one has 32,000 and this one 26,000 ..  Both these was ran up under a car.  Sad

Do you have a spare drivers backrest with the mounting bracket that will fit a standard or a tourer

Well I've got two engines we need a frame I know Reb is a engineer... Lets do this and make a economic stimulus package for the maker of go-cart tires.

Seems to me that a decent Bumblebee ought to get special consideration when deciding to part out or restore...

I'd actually consider it if it was local.  But, for me the question would be - if you don't need another, why'd you buy it?   Spares alone was enough to justify it?
